OPEN I TOUCH. Contact dance course.

Dance without choreography, connection, flow, sharing, community, closeness, body-mind-soul.

Contact improvisation (contact dance) does not have a specific choreography. It arises in a given moment through the communication of bodies and souls in physical contact through weight transfer, work with gravity, work with the point of contact, with momentum,   with dynamics, playfulness, following and leading, with manipulation and resistance.

​It is a joint contact dance that does not have a given choreography and the steps are created in the presence of what is happening.

It is a dance of weight transfer and sharing through touch that is not sexual.

It is a flow, a flow which, when we notice, we find out that even the impossible is possible.

It is a dance that tests our comfort zone. It shows us how we work, our own patterns, boundaries and allows us to get to know ourselves better.

It is the joy of movement that develops creativity, curiosity, playfulness in us and fills us with energy.

It is dynamics, work with the center of gravity, with the biomechanics of movement in such a way that it allows us to fly (literally :) ).

It is about receiving and giving (weight, attention, energy, speed, impulses).

It is a dance that unites, creates a community that supports each other and co-creates space for something new, unknown, emergent.

WHERE: Movement LAB, Drieňova 40, 1st floor OC Búcnosť (look for the exterior blue stairs, go up, turn left and go around the corner, where you will find us at the end)

What will you need?

comfortable clothes that won't put pressure on you, possibly socks (we'll be dancing barefoot), t-shirts with short or longer sleeves (the skin rubs too much on the floor with tank tops, which may not be pleasant).

How will it go?

We start and end each meeting with sharing in a circle, at the beginning of a warm up and gradual building of the technical and practical part.

Co-founder of Movement LAB and OZ 4Arts Therapy, dance-movement therapist, coach, lecturer of contact improvisation, facilitator of authentic movement and embodiment meditations

After studying Strategic Management and Marketing, I worked for 12 years in the financial field in a management position. My many years of experience leading exercise, dance and dance-music sessions led me to study dance-movement therapy, which  4-year training in the Czech Republic I completed in 2017. _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_For 10 years, I danced in an integrated dance group JUST TAK TAK, where people with and without handicaps danced. I was part of the creative and production process of performance projects. In 2019, I completed coaching training (according to ICF standards). In 2020, I completed the certified Teacher's Training at the Holistic Dance Institute in Vienna. I attended a number of foreign educational workshops focused on contemporary dance, applied anatomy in movement, bodywork, contact improvisation and somatic movement. From 8/2021, I am starting TRE training (trauma release exercises) and contact improvisation teacher's training  to Poland.
